As we all strive to navigate and adapt to the challenges we face during the pandemic, the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce has been looking for ways in which we can further support all local businesses. One of our projects is this one-stop directory that will form part of a larger and ongoing Shop Local initiative.

What is it?

ShopCornwallandArea.ca will act as a digital hub, open to any and all local businesses that would like to participate (not just Chamber members). Businesses will receive a free listing that will include the kind of information you would like to disseminate. This could include opening hours (or show that you are only open for online sales), contact details, pick up or delivery options, and even a small product catalogue with integrated e-commerce functionality. If your business already operates an existing e-commerce site, your listing would include a link to your site. If you do not currently have an e-commerce site but would like one, we can help you set one up. In either scenario, you will receive and manage all purchases, funds, and fulfillment.

How does it work?

Phase 1 of the project is registration. Businesses who want a listing should fill out the registration form below. The information will go to our web development team at Webtech Design Co. who will set up the listing for you.

The site is expected to go live to the public on April 7, 2020 at which time people will be able to find your business information on the site. Your Chamber will help drive awareness and traffic by aggressively marketing the project with Facebook ads and a six-week radio blitz.
